Colours of Life
“This collection encapsulates the momentum and hope that is: being exactly true to the way you are.”
Hayley’s 2025 body of work is an exploration of relationships and place, tied to the fabric of Seal’s song “Crazy” from the album, Seal (1991). These works range from iterations of the Blue Mountains, Manly Lagoon, Shoal Bay, Marrickville, Gloucester and Gracetown. Some of Hayley’s collection has been painted while in these places, or from her own photographs and memories. She uses polychromatic colour, intuitive oil stick and acrylic markings to manifest feelings of that place. By creating abstract expressionistic Australian landscapes, native Australian flowers, and emphatic truisms, such as ‘do you, do you, do you,’ inspired by American artist, Barbara Kruger, Hayley feels extremely grateful to live freely. Hayley was proud to partner with Drink Framer and The Lord Dudley Hotel, sponsors of her first solo show June-Aug 2025.
